Tin plating:
Tin plating is an acid process by which very bright tin layers are deposited by electrolysis, both in rack and barrel plating, on materials such as aluminium and alloys, copper and alloys, stainless steel and carbon steel.
Main characteristics are as follows:
- Appearance: Very bright.
- Conductivity: Very good.
- Weldability: Very good.
- Sectors: electrical and electronic. As European Directives forbid using nickel for consumer taps, it is recently being used as a substitute of the same.
Acid copper plating:
Acid copper plating is a process by which a very bright ductile copper film is deposited with low internal stresses. At A.S.BERRITZEN, S.L., it is used both for intermediate coating of brass parts (to prevent zinc diffusion) and for final finish because of its decorative appearance and to improve parts conductivity.
