High phosphorous nickel (10,5-12 %):
The best among conventional electroless nickel plating processes. Main characteristics are:
- Uniformity.
- Appearance: Semi-bright.
- Hardness:
- Just plated: 500-560 Hv.
- After hardening treatment: Up to 1050 Hv.
- Corrosion resistance level: Very high.
- Salt fog chamber test (depending on material and coat thickness) up to 1000 hours.
- Maximum recommended thickness: 250 microns.
- Minimum porosity for thickness above 10 microns.
- Wear resistance: Good.
- Non magnetic.
- Sectors: The same as for low phosphorous nickel. Specially recommended for the medical-surgical sector owing to its high resistance to staining and for the food sector.
